Results-oriented leader : who utilizes business acumen and technical know-how to maximize infrastructure and bottom-line performance.
A proven record as a skilled public speaker, an authority in my area, and an excellent trainer allows me to build self-sustaining teams and help clients grow revenues while improving customer relations. An ability to get things done quickly and consistently find new ideas complement entrepreneurial experience and an instinct for what will sell to inspire others to top performance and both open new markets and improve profits and enhance corporate image.
Skilled navigator of the U.S. Government certification and accreditation process: My consulting experience minimizes liability and risk and improves productivity. I’m experienced with NIST, DIACAP, ITIL, COBIT, ISO 27001, DCID 6/3, NISPOM, and DITSCAP. My project management skills and skills in change management during rapid growth assure a successful accreditation and operation. Grasping complicated technical matters quickly has allowed me to succeed where others fail in cost control while orchestrating major change.

Certified Expertise: I’m a Certified Information Systems Security Practitioner (CISSP), Checkpoint Systems Engineer, Certified Netware Engineer (CNE), and a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE).
u Selected Achievements & Skills u
Revamped operations of a major telecom provider’s network –
I had the pleasure of building a cross functional team at MCI who implemented sweeping changes, established new standards, mitigated risk and minimized liability, formulated top policy and installed superior controls. A likeable, friendly, but persistent approach combined with natural skills as a negotiator and motivator inspired my team to lead a major expansion from a few dozen customers to several hundred. My team established new standards for private IP networking and published articles on the subject and presented at major seminars and conferences to build strategic plans and vendor alliances as well as establish market leadership. A creative and conceptual thinker I was routinely challenged to expand my contribution at MCI and I consistently found new alternatives and synthesized diverse ideas establishing a highly organized response to managing risk and maintaining profit for the MCI Government Markets team.
Supported “Heroic” quota retirement with distressed business unit –
As an eTrust subject matter expert I supported CA (nee:Computer Associates') Federal Sales team in maintaining and expanding their leadership role in providing enterprise infrastructure and security management, threat reduction, regulatory compliance and risk management software solutions.
I provided a CISO / CSO perspective to the sales organization. Updated CA's Technical Knowledge Library, developed US Federal Government policy and systems engineering architectures to assure rapid, sustained certification and accreditation of US Federal Government customers of CA. Description of quota capture efforts by upper CA management was, “heroic.”
Fast track regulatory compliance for a critical infrastructure network -
Performing against tight deadlines I inspired others and provided hands on assistance to assure authority to operate the U.S. Government information systems networks for over a dozen civilian and defense agencies. My team achieved authority to operate the ambitious Defense Research Engineering Network in an unprecedented 30 days. Relating easily to people at all levels and able to quickly win cooperation combined with my skills as a troubleshooter / problem solver who drives "out-of-box" thinking we handled rapid change quickly.
